I love basketball. Growing up, the NBA was a big part of my life. I still have a wonderful memory of watching the 1993 NBA finals of the Suns vs. the Bulls.

When I got to college, my roommate Kelly really introduced me to college basketball. Thanks to Kelly, I've been hooked ever since.

July 25, 2008:

Well basketball is currently on hold for a while. After the Boston Celtics beat the Los Angeles Lakers, it is safe to say that my season ended stupendously. Because basketball is really the only sport that I actively watch, I guess the remainder of my summer will be free of sports.

April 8, 2008:

So it is all over. As of last night, the Kansas Jayhawks are the National Champions. I remember watching it slip away for Memphis as the missed those pivotal free throws toward the end of the game.

It is sad really. I picked either Memphis or North Carolina to win it all. Although I was close, but teams seemed to choke under the pressure. But it is not like Kansas didn't deserve it.

They fought hard for the win over Memphis. The 3-point shot in the last seconds to send the game into overtime showed the determination and passion that Kansas had. One thing that really hurt Memphis though, was when Joey Dorsey fouled out at the end of regulation play. His dominance on the inside would have been really helpful in overtime.

Well, this ends the 2007-2008 College Basketball season. I guess I will have to wait until next year to celebrate March Madness all over again. Congratulations Kansas Jayhawks.

April 2, 2008:

Alright, finally, in the history of the NCAA tournament, four No. 1 seeds are going to the Final Four. It really is how it should be. It is pretty impressive that the bracketologists accurately predicted this. Well I guess, because it is the first time ever, it isn't that impressive. The four teams are:

  • Memphis
  • North Carolina
  • UCLA
  • Kansas

I cannot wait until this weekend when we can see the match ups. I wrote an article about it on Tennessee Journalist. Check it out for my opinion on who will win and more.
